Christmas Party - Book Now
The Centre Christmas Party Rally takes place December 9th-11th. Please note the venue is Desborough College in Maidenhead and not at Furze Platt School as in the Rally Book. This is a new venue for us, and will not be subject to the traffic problems we had last year at Furze Platt.
The Rally is limited to 40 vans, so book now to avoid disappointment. The Christmas Party takes place on Saturday evening, including a live band. The Children's Christmas Party will be held on the Saturday afternoon and is free for children and grand-children of Centre Members.
Please note the start time for the Rally will be 6pm. As the item below - Do not arrive before this time.
2017 Rally Programme - Rally Officers Needed
An updated draft 2017 Rally Programme is now available in the Downloads section of this site. As you will see a number still require Rally Officers. If you can help, please contact the Rally Secretary. Without Rally Officers a Rally cannot take place.
Please note the 2017 Programme is still subject to change. Bookings are not yet being accepted for Rallies beyond the Rally Officers / Blue Nose Rally 2017.
Gleniffer Farm - Donation to Myeloma UK
I am pleased to be able to share a copy of the letter recieved from Myeloma UK following a donation from the Centre.
The money was raised at the Centre's Rally at Gleniffer Farm in August. The site owner kindly waived our site fees which were instead donated to Myeloma UK.
Through this and some other donations from members we were able to raise a total of £126.
The donation was in memory of Nick Eden who passed away earlier in the year. Nick was active with the Centre, and always ready to help out, even during the years of his illness.
Thank you to all who attended the Rally or donated money
Centre AGM - 2016/2017 Committee
The 2016 Annual General Meeting of the Berkshire Centre of the Caravan Club took place on Saturday 8th October. A big thank you to those members who turned out to support the Centre. The outcome of the Committee Elections that took place at the AGM are shown on the Committee Page, along with the associated roles as determined at the Committee Meeting on held on Sunday morning.
As only one valid nomination for Junior Committee had been received, no Junior Elections took place.
Rally Updates - Start TimesPlease note the following Rally updates: Owing to other activities at the sites we have had to put back the start time of several of our Rallies that are being held on school sites.
The AGM at Piggot School will now start at 6pm, the Lantern Rally at Colleton in November will start at 6:30pm, and the Christmas Party at Desborough Collge will start at 6pm.
Please note these new start times and DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE THE STATED TIME. If you do it is highly likely you will not be allowed on site, and parking outside a school, if even possible, is a dangerous thing to do.
Burns Night 2017Due to redevelopment at Hoburne Bashley they are no longer taking Caravan Rallies. We have been unable to find an alternative venue for our 2017 Burns Night Rally that was planned to take place at Hoburne. Unfortunately the Rally is cancelled.
We are looking at the possibility of holding a normal Rally on this weekend in place. Please watch this site for updates,
Caravan Club - North Home Counties Regional AGM RallyThe Northern Home Counties AGM will take place at the Alameda Middle School, Ampthill, Beds, on the 19th November 2016. A rally is being hostd by the North London Centre at the venue 18th-20th November.
