| Directions: From Devizes
take A361 towards Trowbridge. At Caen Hill 2 miles from Devizes,
where road becomes dual carriageway, turn right opposite Jones Scrap
Yard onto B3101 (Marsh Lane) signposted Rowde. Cross narrow canal
bridge and follow rally signs to field on right hand side.

£1.50 Locality: This lovely site is right next to the Kennet and Avon Canal's Caen Hill Locks. The historic town of Devizes dates back to the 11th century and is bursting with impressive architecture and has a Norman church. Nearby Chippenham is a market town. Just off the A4 at Calne is the Atwell-Wilson motor museum. What's On? Friday, come over to the Rally Officers at the Jolly Roger in pirate dress; bring your flagons of rum, brandy, vodka and whiskey or your favourite tipple for a general get together. Also pay your dues; default and Long John Silver will make you walk the plank! A stroll along the locks on Saturday morning for those who wish to. In the afternoon, children's pirate dress competition and children's games; prize for the best dressed child pirate. Pirate meal and pudding with tea and coffee on Saturday evening from the Captain's galley. Fun and frolics to follow with a prize for the best dressed pirate. Further details will be available from the Rally Officers nearer the time. Book early as places are limited. Rally Officers: Chris and Pauline Bevan Pete and Doreen Bowers Rally will start 4:00pm Friday and will finish 6:00pm Sunday. Bookings must be received by Monday 14th June. |
