GRASS FIELD

Locality: Rotherfield Peppard is located about six miles north of Reading and three miles west of Henley-on-Thames. The village has extensive areas of common land (Peppard Common) including rare heathland. The oldest Congregational Chapel in Oxfordshire is located here, and the Parish Church of All Saints is Norman in origin.

Golf Competition: a single round of golf is played for three competitions:
A Stableford competition is scored for the Bri-mar Trophy. In the event of a tie, a countback over 3 holes is used (then 6 holes, 9 holes etc. if still tied) to establish a single winner.
A lowest gross score (ie. excluding handicap) is recorded for the Cyn-daw Trophy. Again, countback is used to establish a single winner.
The Nearest the Pin Trophy will be played for on a nominated hole.

Other prizes may be offered at the organiser's discretion. The Centre Competitions Officer retains the score-cards. Should a player be in a position to win both the Bri-Mar and Cyn-daw trophies, then they shall be awarded the Bri-mar trophy and the Cyn-daw trophy goes to the player with the second-lowest gross score.
Each player must declare his or her handicap for the Stableford competition before the competition starts. Where a player has a club handicap, that should be used, other players should declare a handicap that is consistent with their most recent few rounds. Handicaps are maximum 28 for gents, 36 for ladies, teenagers and children.

What's On? A bouncy castle will be avaiable for the children during the weekend. Saturday afternoon, we'll be roasting chickens on a rotisserie - bring your own accompaniments for a feast to remember.

Rally will start 4:00pm Friday and will finish 6:00pm Sunday.
